The Little Beguinage

Today, the houses and convents are leased or rented out. The traces we see today are those of the 17th-century beguinage. Besides the church, the grand house, the infirmary, the rectory and sub- rectory, the beguinage comprises ninety houses and seven convents.

The beguinage

is free to visit every day

from 06:30 to 22:00.

Erfgoedsprokkels

The heritage samples (Erfgoedsprokkels) provide you with an anthology of valuable buildings, historical sites or periods in history that left important traces for a municipality or region. In some art cities and smaller villages you will come across beautiful Flemish Masters. These hidden gems are also featured in the heritage gleanings.

The heritage specimens are accessible brochures of up to 16 pages. They are real guides with a map or walking route so that all the interesting facts about a building or place are covered. You can use them as walking guides or as reading tips for at home.

The heritage specimens are only available at the sites or you can read the brochure below. (Available only in Dutch)
